A: No, you can only have basic obscure glass. Matching door glass is only available in a matching composite side panel.

A: All triple glazed units have a backing glass that does not match any of the Pilkington obscure glass range. The closest match would be Stippolyte.

A: No, the triple glazed units are depicted by a (T) in the brochure.

A: No, the only decorative glass that has the option of amending the backing glass is Kensington or Murano – but this does have an extended lead time

A: Classic & Kensington.

Q: Yes, but the sidelight must be a minimum width of 550mm.

A: All door glass is 28mm thick.

A: All sidelight glass is 28mm thick.

A: All integrated toplight glass is 24mm thick. If the toplight glass is separate, this is 28mm thick.

A: The minimum width for a glazed sidelight without midrail is 270mm including coupler. If the sidelight has a midrail, the minimum width is 320mm including coupler.

A: Any door can open out as long as it does not have a ramped threshold or low Upvc threshold.

A: You can have any door style that is centrally glazed, in a Flush finish only. These include the Solar, Halley, Neptune, Mars, Corvus, Astro & Pluto.

A: Our standard colours and RALS are:

Black – 9005
Blue – CSP 084

A: Yes, but these are hand stained by the supplier, have an extended lead time, and incur an additional surcharge.

A: A Dog/Cat flap can be fitted to any door that has a flush finish, where the glazing finishes in the top half of the door – A Solar, Pluto, Astro, Super Nova Back door or Mars. No doors that have any traditional panel mouldings or a farmhouse finish.

A: We offer 3 different slab finishes. These are:
Farmhouse – Vertical Grooves with a clear visible border
Flush – Woodgrain effect with no grooves
Monza – Horizontal Grooves with a clear visible border

A: No – the size parameters for a composite side panel are 45+6mm – 476mm including the 20mm coupler. These can only be manufactured in the VEKA profile.

A: No, the minimum width for a letterplate to be fitted in a sidepanel or sidelight is 550mm – the maximum width for a composite side panel is 476mm.

A: No, this was discontinued due to quality issues.

A: All slabs come with a 10 year warranty except Rosewood & Lightwood which have a 5 year warranty.

A: 1012mm.

A: Yes but we use a foiled frame – we cannot spray a smooth frame.

A: No, this is not an option.

A: Our Liniar outer frame is 67mm external and 47mm internal.
Our VEKA outer frame is 68mm external and 48mm internal.

A: Yes, all our thresholds are Part M compliant.

A: Neither – both of our outer frames we use are dedicated sculptured outer frames.

A: Decorative handles can only be fitted to doors that have an auto engage lock.

A: No – the knob handle serves no mechanical purpose. They are purely decorative to pull the door open/closed.

A: It is not possible to have a lever split spindle (Offset) handle on these door sets. The only option is a lever lever straight inline split spindle.

A: All door furniture has a 1 year warranty.

A: All barrels are a 35/35 split.

A: SBD is Secure by Design. It is an accreditation scheme operated on behalf of the UK police for products & services that have met recognised security standards.

A: Yes.

A: To qualify for SBD certification, your door must have the following fitted:

• Laminated Glass
• A Letterplate Cowl
• A Spy Hole
• A 3* High Security Cylinder
• A Security Chain

A: Part M refers to disability compliant thresholds and minimum openings to allow for wheelchair access.

Doc Q and SBD are the same thing and refer to the accreditation scheme for manufactured products and services that have met the recognised safety standards.

A: We offer 2 types of locks. The standard composite door lock which is only compatible with the lever style handles.

And the slam lock which is only compatible with the decorative bar handles, internal rose handles and finger pulls. These are available in 2 positions – standard (1/2 up the door) & heritage (3/4 up the door).
